Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin says that the cooperation in halal beef and mutton trade could be the opportunity to jack the two states market.
“Lately, we did saw a decline. And in response to that, we need more effort in building beneficial trade relationship between the two countries,” said VP Ma’ruf Amin on Wednesday (2/28/2024).
It is reported that the balance of trade between Indonesia and New Zealand is in decline for 18.82% from 2,182.7 million USD in 2022 to 1,728 million USD in 2023.
In the meeting, Ma’ruf Amin highlights halal beef and muton trading between Indonesia and New Zealand as the opportunity to push their trade balance.
“New Zealand is one of the biggest exports of beef and mutton, and their halal mutton have already been certified halal in Indonesia,” said VP Ma’ruf Amin.
Furthermore, Ma’ruf Amin asked Winston Peters to further discuss the potential together in effort of pushing their trade balance.
