Inp.polri.go.id - Klaten.  President Prabowo Subianto announced that every unit of Merah Putih Village Cooperatives will provide essential facilities such as warehouses for farmers’ harvest storage, cold storage, loan outlets, and pharmacies.

Speaking at the launch event in Klaten, Central Java, on Monday (21/7/2205), he urged village heads to support cooperatives by allocating Village Fund budgets for their development.

“Each village will have a warehouse with cooling facilities to preserve produce like mangoes and fish. Nearby, there will be outlets for groceries, microloans supported by Himbara banks, and at least one affordable generic medicine pharmacy,” the president said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He added that for those unable to pay, the government, with Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati’s support, will cover medication costs.

The president highlighted that the Village Fund allocates about Rp 1 billion annually per village, which can be used to finance these initiatives, including distribution vehicles to improve logistics and ensure affordable protein sources reach every household.
