inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta Regional Police carried out Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) for Phase II of the Liquor Operation. The DIY Regional Police succeeded in securing 2,338 bottles of illegal liquor from various locations in the DIY jurisdiction on Monday (21/7/25).
This operation is a preventative measure by the Yogyakarta Regional Police to suppress the circulation of illegal liquor, which often triggers disturbances to public order and security, especially ahead of celebrations or large-scale community events.
The Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ihsan, emphasized that his team will not allow the circulation of illegal liquor in the Yogyakarta region.
"We continue to take intensive enforcement and monitoring efforts at locations suspected of being used for the storage or distribution of illegal liquor. The goal is to create a sense of security and prevent potential disturbances to public order and security, which are often triggered by alcohol consumption," said Ihsan.
Ihsan appealed to the public not to sell, distribute, or consume illegal alcohol, and encouraged them to actively report any similar practices they encounter in their neighborhoods.
The Yogyakarta Regional Police confirmed that Phase II of Operation Liquor will continue, with broader targets and firmer enforcement to maintain order and the safety of the Yogyakarta community.
