Inp.polri.go.id - Tasikmalaya. The Tasikmalaya Immigration Office has confirmed that 21 Bangladeshi citizens without official identification in Garut, West Java, face deportation and inclusion on Indonesia’s immigration blacklist.
"While awaiting deportation, they will be held at the Tasikmalaya Immigration detention facility before being transferred to an immigration detention center," Indra Bangsawan, the Head of the Tasikmalaya Immigration Office, said in a statement on Friday (21/3/2025).
The case emerged after local residents reported a group of Bangladeshi men arriving at Karang Paranje Beach, Garut, on 13 March 2025. When asked for identification at a lodging facility, they failed to provide any, prompting a report to local police.
Subsequent investigations confirmed their Bangladeshi nationality, with one individual presenting a Bangladeshi passport. Authorities suspect violations Law No. 6/2011 on Immigration.
