Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Religion Ministry says 554 Hajj flight groups were ready to depart starting May 12th, 2024.
For this year, Indonesia was given a quota of 241,000 quota, with 213,320 of them for the regular pilgrims while the other 27,680 for the special pilgrims.
“As of today, 213,079 visas have been issued for the pilgrims,” said the Director of Domestic Hajj Services, Saiful Mujab via press release on Thursday (9/5/24).
Saiful explains that the process of visa for the pilgrims were actually completed, however there are several pilgrims who cancel their departure due to various reasons such as falling sick, passing away, and others.
“So today we are trying to make another 241 new visas for the replacement pilgrims,” said Saiful.
He prays for good health for the pilgrims during their travel to Mecca and return to Indonesia. He also hoped no more pilgrims would have to cancel their flights due to various reasons.
