inp.polri.go.id - Banyuwangi. Police uncovered a drug circulation of meth with the arrest of HN alias R (33) from Banyuwangi who was caught red handed selling meth in Boyolangu, Banyuwangi.
Banyuwangi Sub-regional City Police Drug Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent M. Khoirul, says that the arrest began when the public are suspicious with the activities around Boyolangu.
“After a thorough investigation, police found the suspect holding 58 meth packages, ready to be sold,” said Khoirul on Monday (2/17/2025).
Following police examination, the suspect admitted to gathering the crystal meth next to Al-Qomar Middle School, Boyolangu Village, and after further searching, an additional five packages of crystal meth were found from the previous mining.
"The total evidence that we managed to secure was 63 packages of crystal meth weighing 80.45 grams," revealed Khoirul.
In addition to crystal methamphetamine, officers also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence including pieces of straw, various colored tape, a black sling bag, and an ATM card and cellphone used by the suspect to communicate.
Furthermore, he also explained that the suspect who works as a private employee has now been secured at the Banyuwangi Sub-regional City Police Headquarters for further investigation.
In being held accountable for his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) Jo. Article 112 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
