A family of four died after falling from the 22nd floor of Teluk Intan Tower Topas Apartments in Penjaringan, North Jakarta on Saturday afternoon (9/3/2024) in what police authorities suspect to be a suicide. According to Assistant Superintendent Agus Ady Wijaya, Chief of the Penjaringan Metro Police Office, the victims include a 50-year-old man identified as EA, a woman known only as AIL, and two teenagers: a boy, JWA (13), and a girl, JL (16). Security personnel stationed in the apartment lobby discovered the four bodies upon hearing a loud thud. The police promptly responded, initiating investigations and identifying the victims. The bodies displayed severe injuries to their heads, hands, and legs. The authorities have transported the bodies to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for autopsy, while witnesses are being questioned to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
