Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The Aceh Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate destroyed 80.5 kilograms of methamphetamine seized in operations conducted between July and September 2025. 

The destruction took place on Monday (6/10/2025) at the Aceh Police headquarters in Banda Aceh, witnessed by members of the House of Representatives (DPR)’ Commission III.

In addition to meth, police also destroyed one kilogram of cocaine and 1.3 tons of marijuana. The meth and cocaine were boiled in water mixed with cleaning chemicals, while the marijuana was burned for nearly an hour in the police yard, according to antaranews.com.

Director of Narcotics Investigation Senior Superintendent Shobarmen said the confiscated drugs were linked to 22 suspects across several regencies. The largest seizure, 77.3 kilograms of meth, came from North Aceh on 30 September 2025.Chief Shobarmen emphasized public participation in reporting narcotics trafficking. “

Drug eradication cannot be done by the police alone. We need the community’s involvement in this fight,” he said.
