inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that 212 rogue rice producers who failed to meet quality, quantity, and volume standards, based on findings by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Task Force, must be dealt with firmly to create a deterrent effect.
The Minister stated that all findings have been submitted to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, the Food Task Force, and the Attorney General for immediate legal processing to prevent further harm to the wider public and Indonesian farmers.
He hopes the legal process for these violations will be swift and firm to provide a deterrent effect to rogue rice producers operating in the national staple food sector.
"Hopefully, this will be processed quickly. We received the report on July 10th, two days ago. The investigation has begun. We hope this will be dealt with firmly," the Minister emphasized.
Based on the report received on July 10th, the police have already begun investigating the producers, and the Ministry of Agriculture continues to monitor developments to prevent future violations.
