inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have spoken out regarding two CCTV videos showing a boarding house guard checking the room of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs diplomat, ADP (39), since midnight. The young diplomat was found dead with his head wrapped in yellow duct tape.

The Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, explained that, based on information given to investigators, the boarding house guard had been checking the room since that night at the request of the victim's wife. The victim's cell phone was dead when his wife contacted him.

"It's true that his wife asked the boarding house guard to check because her husband's cell phone was dead," explained Ade Ary on Saturday (7/12/2025).

The CCTV footage shows the first check being carried out by the boarding house guard at 12:27 a.m. Then, at 5:26 a.m. the victim's room was checked again by the guard.

He said the investigation team is still investigating the cause of the victim's death.
