Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Air Force Has deployed an H-225M Caracal helicopter to assist in evacuation and relief operations for victims of Tropical Storm Kristine in the Bicol region of the Philippines.
According to an official statement from TNI AU, the Caracal helicopter will conduct search-and-rescue operations, transport victims for medical care, and deliver essential medical supplies and other aid to affected areas. The helicopter will work alongside the Army's Mi-17 helicopter, also sent by the Indonesian Military (TNI) Headquarters to support relief efforts.
The Air Force has also dispatched two senior commanders, Commander of Air Wing 4, Colonel Asep Wahyu Wijaya, along with a team of 24 joint TNI personnel from the Air, Army, and Navy divisions, who will be stationed in the Philippines for 14 days.
Air Force Operations Assistant, Air Marshal David Yohan Tamboto, emphasized on Wednesday (30/10/2024) the importance of team cohesion, professionalism, and adherence to local laws and customs during the mission, noting that the safety of all personnel remains a top priority.
