Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Anticipating an attack that resulted in the death of a member of National Police, the Papua Regional Police will conduct an evaluation regarding the placement of personnel in these vulnerable areas.

Papuan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri, explained that the evaluation was necessary considering that many areas, especially in mountainous areas, were categorized as prone to disturbances to security and public order (kamtibmas) due to the presence of armed separatist groups and terrorists. The two-star general said that there should be at least five to 15 people assigned to posts in the vulnerable category. It's just that, due to the limited personnel, it cannot be realized. "Hopefully, with the receipt of the Noken Police Officer, the shortage of personnel can be resolved, although it is not yet comprehensive considering the vast territory of Papua," said the Papuan Regional Police Chief, Monday (05/31). The Papuan Regional Police Chief hopes that the Chief of Police whose territory is in the vulnerable category will also conduct an evaluation and provide a report regarding the difficulties experienced in the field. So as a leader could take the right steps. The Papuan Regional Police Chief also asked the leaders of all personnel to wear the body system at all times, especially for those who work in vulnerable areas. "We really miss one of the best Papuan sons who since graduating was placed at the Bintang Mountains Police and then at the Oksamol Sub-Sector Police," explained the Papuan Regional Police Chief.
