Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police together with the Jakarta Provincial Government are collaborating in finding solutions so that motorists and road bike cyclists do not experience friction.

Director of Traffic Management (Ditlantas) of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said today police will discuss the feasibility of JLNT Kampung Melayu-Tanah Abang for road bikes after road bike trial had been carried out for the last 2 weeks. He said, the evaluation will discuss the feasibility of the JLNT for road bikes.The road safety aspect to health facility will be considered in making decisions. "Of course, this becomes our consideration whether the overpass is suitable for road bike, or maybe if necessary we will find another place," Dirlantas explained, Monday 05/31/21). Further, he said the road bike issue is one of the focuses of the work. Because, if left unchecked, it could potentially be a cause of friction with motorcyclists. "Moreover, there is actually bicycle lane prepared by the government, especially on Sudirman-Thamrin Street," as explained by the Dirlantas.
