inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. After appointing Djoko Siswanto as the new Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, calls that the ranks of officials at the special task force should not be controlled by businessmen.

In his official statement following the inauguration of Djoko Siswanto, Bahlil says that the government must instead act fairly to the businessmen.

“Do not let yourself be controlled by the businessmen, it should be the other way around. However, we, the government must also be fair to them,” said Bahlil on Thursday (11/7/2024).

Bahlil has personally asked Djoko to cut and simplify the regulations in Oil and Gas business activities while coordinating with others to increase the oil lifting. Bahlil also reminded his staff to do their best for the country, not for their personal interest.

“There are no ministerial goals but Presidential goal. We are only the helpers for our president, and vice versa. So do not do any programs outside of what the president envisioned,” says Bahlil in his closing statement.
