inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) ensures that data collection on recipients of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) is conducted inclusively and transparently to reach all target groups.
The data collection includes school-age children, Islamic boarding school students, toddlers, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, including groups not yet registered in the population administration.
"There are no fictitious Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG), nor are there fictitious (MBG recipients)," said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, Thursday (1/29/2026).
He explained that the data collection is conducted in collaboration with local governments using a name-by-address approach so that beneficiary identification can be traced down to the individual and address level.
According to the BGN Head, the data collection also targets citizens who do not yet have a National Identification Number (NIK) and school-age children who have dropped out of school, including vulnerable groups that have often been overlooked in government program databases.
"These are the citizens who must receive the program," said Dadan.
He explained that the data collection process will be conducted through the SPPG (Service Provider Agency) in coordination with local governments, including coordinators at the regional and sub-district levels.
Dadan adds that BGN is open to public oversight, including criticism of the quality of services and MBG menus at the SPPG level.
According to him, reports from the public, including those circulating on social media, will provide input for the BGN to evaluate and reprimand the relevant SPPG to improve services.
"BGN is an open institution, and we've even received a fairly high transparency rating. Everyone has the right to monitor all menus produced by the SPPG, and anyone who evaluates them is appreciated by BGN," he said.
