Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)”s Bhayangkara Hospital in East Jakarta has revealed new forensic findings on the death of a Jakarta bank branch manager, whose body was discovered in Bekasi after a suspected abduction and murder.
“Forensic examination indicates the victim likely died from oxygen deprivation,” said Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulih, the Head of the Hospital, during a press briefing on Friday (22/8/2025). “We found pressure marks on the neck and chest, suggesting difficulty in breathing.”
The victim, identified as MIP, (37) also sustained multiple blunt force injuries both externally and internally. While oxygen deprivation is suspected, investigators are awaiting further forensic results to confirm the exact cause of death, as reported by antaranews.com.
The victim’s body, bound and gagged, was found in a rice field in Bekasi on Thursday morning. Police have arrested four suspects linked to the abduction, including one arrested at Jakarta’s Johar Baru and another intercepted at an airport in East Nusa Tenggara while attempting to flee.
