inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. An elderly with the initials of RAW (73) almost fell victim to the robbery after his vehicle was about to be taken away by the thief, APS.

Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi says that the incident occured in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

Ade explains the incident began when APS asked RAW to show the documents of the car he was about to buy. RAW made a deal with APS to sell his car to him for IDR 140 million.

APS also claimed that he had transferred the money for the car payment, but the victim and his family did not think so. When APS was about to make his leave, he was stopped by the victim's family.

“Then the thief forced his way to the car and tried to run away. He was forced to stop after the victim stopped him even though he was dragged approximately three meters," he said.

People watching the incident immediately helped the victim and stopped the thief. The victim suffered a number of injuries due to defending his car.

“Due to the incident, the victim suffered bruises on the face, right hand, left hand, and left leg," concluded Ade.
