Central Java Regional Police Arrest Two Illegal Car Dealers in Sukoharjo

inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police uncovers the criminal case of illegal vehicle dealers in Sukoharjo. In the case uncovering, police arrested BK (52) and GY (43).

The Deputy Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Brigadier General Agus Suryonugroho explains that the case begins with a case report from the public in July 2024. Police then developed the case and found that the dealer had been receiving vehicles without complete documents.

Agus explains that the suspect commits to be a dealer due to the huge profits they made. They have been selling stolen vehicles on social media and WhatsApp.

“In a month, they can sell up to three vehicles,” reveals Agus. He adds that other than selling the vehicles, the suspect also rents the stolen vehicles out.

For their crimes, they will be charged with Article 481 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 480 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 56 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 7 years in prison.
