Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police strengthened forest and land fire handling by deploying three Mobile Brigade (Brimob) companies for firefighting, patrols, and surveillance across high-risk regions in Palangka Raya on Wednesday (28/10/2026).
"The reinforcement of officers is expected to support extinguishing, patrolling, and monitoring efforts in areas that still face fire threats," said Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan.
Brimob forces were dispatched to priority areas, including Pulang Pisau and Kotawaringin Barat Regencies, as well as Tanjung Puting National Park. Alongside ground operations, task forces conducted weather modification operations using salt seeding to induce rain and mitigate fire risks.
