Central Sulawesi Police Chief Confirms Densus 88 Arrests Seven Linked to JI

Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General Agus Nugroho confirmed that the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terrorism from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters arrested seven individuals suspected of being affiliated with the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) on Tuesday.

"These seven individuals consist of four residents of Palu, two residents of Sigi, and one resident of Poso," he said on Wednesday (17/4/2024).

Chief Agus said that four residents of Palu City, with the initials AR, BS, GN, and BK, are suspected members of JI, along with two residents of Sigi with the initials MH and HR, and one resident of Poso with the initials SK.

The first two houses searched were located on Lagarutu Street, Talise Valangguni Village, Palu City. Several pieces of evidence were seized from these houses, including laptops and mobile phones, according to antaranews.com.

After conducting searches in Palu, the fully armed Densus 88 team, assisted by the Central Sulawesi Police Bomb Squad (Gegana) team, searched a house in Kalukubula Village, Sigi Regency.
