FM Wang Yi's Visit to Indonesia to Boost Belt and Road Initiative

Inp.polri.go.id - Beijing.  Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian announced that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's upcoming visit to Indonesia aimed to enhance cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Lin Jian highlighted that the visit seeks to implement agreements between President Xi Jinping and leaders of the involved countries, fostering high-quality Belt and Road cooperation for substantive progress in China-Indonesia development.

Wang Yi will undertake an official visit to Indonesia, Cambodia, and Papua New Guinea from 18-23 April 2024, according to antaranews.com

Lin Jian emphasized the shared principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit among China, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Papua New Guinea, all being developing countries in the Asia-Pacific.

Under state diplomacy's strategic guidance, China has maintained strong growth momentum in relations with these nations, collaborating for a shared future and deepening Belt and Road cooperation.

China aims to elevate bilateral relations with these countries to new heights, contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development.

Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto's official visit to China from March 31 to April 2, 2024, marked his inaugural foreign visit as president-elect.
