Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, addressed the 70% decrease in homecoming vehicle volume flow due to the 2021 Eid homecoming flow insulation policy. "From the available activities, we obtained information of significant numbers, which means, from this operation we managed to suppress homecoming traffic flow up to 70%, compared to normal days". During a visitation of homecoming flow insulation checkpoint in Cikarang, West Java, Wednesday (12 May 2021), Listyo said. Furthermore, the Chief of INP also readdresses the aim for the insulation effort of this year's Eid holiday, which to protect the public from Covid-19 transmission. "If we cannot conduct this activity properly, then the homecoming tradition will keep happening, and people will go to their hometowns and visit their parents that usually of old age, which possesses the risk of exposure to Covid-19 three times higher than young people", the four-star General said. In his statement, the Chief of INP hopes that the public can understand the circumstances during this 2021 Eid holiday and treat this holiday just like in 2020. Online or virtual platform as a medium to stay in touch can be held with the families and relatives in the hometown, despite the long distance.
