Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong praised President Prabowo Subianto for attending China’s military parade earlier this month, marking the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II. 

“President Prabowo, despite various challenges, made a special trip to China to attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War,” he said during China’s 76th National Day reception in Jakarta on Wednesday night (24/9/2025). 

Ambassador Wang added that Prabowo’s presence reflected strong attention to Indonesia-China ties and the sincere friendship between the two nations.

He noted that as the two countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations this year, cooperation in multiple fields has expanded under the strategic guidance of both leaders. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepen bilateral synergy and concrete collaboration.

President Prabowo attended the 3 September 2025 parade at Tiananmen Square, which showcased China’s latest military assets.
