Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad) revealed that sovereign wealth fund Danantara has acquired shares in several ride-hailing applicators to facilitate the government’s plan to reduce driver commission cuts from the previous 10–20% down to a maximum of 8 percent.
By holding a stake in these companies, the government intends to adjust internal policies and systems to better align with national labor interests.
The first priority is to lower the fees taken by the applicators. Previously at 20 or 10 percent, it will be adjusted so that applicators only take 8 percent," Dasco said during a meeting with labor union alliances at the parliamentary complex on Friday (1/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
He further explained that the acquisition aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's recent signing of Presidential Regulation No. 27 of 2026.
While the legal status of the driver-partner relationship is still being simulated, the government ensures that driver organizations will be actively involved in policy discussions. Dasco reiterated the President's commitment that if essential companies face instability, the state is prepared to step in or take over to ensure workers remain employed.
