"Based on his statement, the motive was he was hurt by the school environment, particularly the treatment from a number of friends who often ostracized him," said Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, Thursday (2/5/2026).

Budi explained that F explained that since junior high school, he had often been the target of ridicule, including being called derogatory names because he hung out more with female friends. This situation continued into high school.

Furthermore, Budi explained that this treatment made F angry and depressed due to the attacks targeting his appearance and personal life.

"Based on this, the child confessed that he then decided to carry out the bombing at school," he explained.
