inp.polri.go.id - Banten. The Banten Regional Police have named 11 suspects, one is still a student, in Pandarincang District. The suspects were arrested on February 7 and 8, 2025.
The Director of Criminal Investigation of the Banten Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Dian Setyawan revealed that the 11 suspects were DKK, SC, NN, HJ, YS, DP, FR, PR, SF, US, and SM. The dozens of people were detained and named as suspects for the case of incitement, assault, and burning of a chicken farm owned by PT Sinar Ternak Sejahtera.
"We are following up on the police report regarding the alleged criminal acts of inciting, mob violence, and intentionally causing fires, explosions, or floods. DKK and his partners are suspected of inviting and gathering the community to carry out destruction and burning at PT Sinar Ternak Sejahtera," he explained in a written statement on Tuesday (2/11/2025).
According to him, the henhouse, administration office, and diesel tank belonging to PT Sinar Ternak Sejahtera were damaged and burned. He revealed that so far, investigators have indicated that the suspects did this because they were dissatisfied with the existence of the chicken coop which they believed to be harmful for the environment.
"The intention was to destroy and burn the place and goods of the company so that it could no longer operate in the area," he said.
The suspects were also charged with Article 160 of the Criminal Code and Article 170 of the Criminal Code and Article 187 of the Criminal Code with a maximum criminal penalty of 5 years in prison.
