Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said the recent rise in egg prices has had a positive impact on poultry farmers, calling it a “sign of revival” supported by the government’s Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

“We’re encouraging farmers to increase production.  This is their chance to recover. Many of them suffered losses before, and this price increase is the positive impact of MBG,” he told reporters after signing a joint decree on warehouse construction acceleration at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Tuesday (11/11/2025).

Minister Amran noted that egg prices have climbed from Rp 18,000 to around Rp 31,500 per kilogram over the past three months, according to antaranews.com. He assured the government will summon major producers to keep prices stable and protect consumers.

The minister also unveiled a plan to build a Rp 20 trillion integrated poultry ecosystem by 2026 to ensure sustainable supply and strengthen national food security.
