Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Fifty-three families affected by the 2021 Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 crash were set to fly to Seattle, United States, seeking justice from the Boeing Company.
Led by legal representative C. Priaardanto, they aimed to depart on Thursday(18/4/2024) for the deposition process, highlighting the impact of product defects on SJ 182.
Accompanied by legal experts including Charles Herrmann, Anthony Marsch, and John Herrmann, they have filed a lawsuit against Boeing, with trial scheduled for July 2024 at the District Court For the Eastern District of Virginia Alexandria Division.
The case remains unresolved since the 2021 crash, partly due to delays from the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT). Investigation results showed mechanical disturbances on the Jakarta-Pontianak flight, prompting demands for accountability.
Billian Purnama Oktora, the brother of flight attendant Isti Yudha Prastika, hoped for compensation after two years of discussion, stressing their pursuit of justice.
