Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Finance has yet to finalize the policy regarding the 13th-month salary for civil servants as the government evaluates potential budget efficiencies driven by global energy subsidy pressures.
"The efficiency measures for the 13th-month salary are still under review," said Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa on Tuesday (7/4/2026). "We ask for patience as we conduct further studies; the final decision will be announced in due course."
Despite the ongoing review, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto previously indicated that the 13th-month salary is scheduled for disbursement in June 2026.
This payment, regulated under Government Regulation (PP) No. 9 of 2026, typically covers basic salary, fixed allowances, and performance bonuses for civil servants, soldiers, police officers and retirees.
The government is currently balancing these personnel expenditures against the rising costs of oil and energy subsidies caused by international geopolitical instability.
