inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The fire that burns a settlement in Kemayoran Gempol, Central Jakarta, has left many displaced.
The victims of the fire are now evacuated to the evacuation post in Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police.
“Several of them are evacuated to the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police HQ, especially the women and children,” says the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Tuesday (1/21/2025).
According to the current data, there are 543 houses that were burned down. The fire affects thousands of people living in the settlement.
“The fire burned 543 houses, displacing 607 families with a total of 1,797 people affected,” says Ade.
The fire occurred on Tuesday (1/21/2025) in the early morning at 00.35 am. A total of 34 fire trucks and 170 firefighters were deployed to the location, and able to control the fire at 05.29 am.
