Nawawi Pomolango, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Acting Chairman, clarified that Firli Bahuri will not be actively working at the KPK during his temporary dismissal from the position of KPK Chairman by the President. In a statement on Tuesday (28/11/23), he clarified, "The Presidential Decree temporarily dismissing Mr. Firli implies that he will temporarily suspend activities at this institution. Mr. Firli is not required to fulfill office duties during this period." Addressing the issue of Firli's personal belongings still being in his room, he invited Firli or his representative to retrieve these items through the guest access at the front door, avoiding the staff door. "The head secretary has informed us that personal items are still in Firli's room. Perhaps the day after tomorrow, he can retrieve them through the front door procedure, not from the inside, as was done yesterday," he added. As previously reported, Firli Bahuri was temporarily removed from his position as KPK Chairman by Presidential Decree No. 116 of 2023.
