South Tangerang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Boy Jumalolo, stated that the disclosure was the result of an investigation by the police into inter-regional narcotics distribution.
"The methamphetamine, ecstasy, and synthetic drugs were planned to be distributed to Jakarta, South Tangerang, and the surrounding areas," he explained in a statement to reporters on Tuesday (1/27/2026).
He explained that the suspects operated a cash-on-delivery (COD) narcotics transaction scheme, as well as a home-based production industry for the synthetic narcotic MDMB-4en-PINACA.
"The suspects' modus operandi was to conduct cash-on-delivery (COD) narcotics transactions for methamphetamine and ecstasy, as well as a home-based production industry for the synthetic narcotic MDMB-4en-PINACA," he said.
The synthetic narcotic MDMB-4en-PINACA, with a gross weight of 2,342 grams, can be processed into approximately 20,000 grams of synthetic seed, with an economic value of up to IDR 20 billion, and has the potential to harm around 500,000 lives.
"We are committed to taking firm action against any drug criminals and bring them to justice. We also encourage the public to actively report any narcotics distribution through the Police Call Center 110," he said.
