inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror of Indonesian National Police, in collaboration with the Denpasar City Ministry of Religious Affairs, held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Monday (1/26/2026) with teachers from various religious backgrounds (elementary, middle, and high schools) across Denpasar City.
The FGD raised the theme of "Efforts to Prevent and Address Minors' Exposure to Radical Terrorism and Radical Violence."
This activity aimed to strengthen collaboration with all relevant ministries, institutions, and stakeholders in Denpasar City while solidifying teachers' understanding of radical terrorism and radical violence in children, and strengthen the role of schools and teachers in prevention and early detection.
"Cross-sector collaboration is crucial in preventing and addressing children exposed to radical terrorism and radical violence," said Second Police Inspector Hadi Nata Kusuma, Head of the Prevention Team for Densus 88 Anti-Terror.
The event, attended by 150 interfaith teachers from across Denpasar, yielded several recommendations, including encouraging the development of regulations regarding digital restrictions and supervision for children, strengthening child-friendly school policies and implementation, and conducting early detection of students suspected of exposure.
The FGD proceeded safely and smoothly, concluding with the distribution of barcodes containing educational posters and brochures on preventing IRET and violence.
