At least five national records were broken on the second day of the 2025 Indonesia Aquatic National Championships at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium in Jakarta on Friday (30/5/2025), in a strong showing by young swimmers preparing for the upcoming SEA Games in Thailand.
Among the standout performers was Flairene Candrea, who won the women’s 50-meter backstroke in 28.86 seconds, narrowly surpassing the 2021 record held by Masniari Wolf (28.89), as reported by antara news.com.
In the men’s 100-meter breaststroke, Muhammad Dwiky Raharjo set a new national record with a time of 1:01.75, beating Gagarin Nataniel Yus’s previous mark of 1:01.76 set in 2017.
Other record-breakers included Jason Donovan Yusuf in the men’s 50-meter backstroke (25.47), Ni Putu Pande Lisa Primasari, and Adelia Chantika Aulia, both of whom improved their own newly set records within hours.
