Inp.polri.go.id - Badung.  Football analyst Tommy Welly, popularly known as Bung Towel, believes he and his family were targeted by a "doxing" attack after he criticized former Indonesia national team coach Shin Tae-yong.

"I think it’s unfair and abnormal for my family, especially my children, to be dragged into this just because I’m discussing football," he said while filing a police report at the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police on Friday (17/1/2025).

Tommy suspects the attacks, including the spread of his personal information, escalate whenever he criticizes Coach Shin’s performance. 

"Whenever I offer critical feedback on Shin Tae-yong, it triggers bullying and attacks," he explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.

While Tommy is used to personal criticism, he stressed that attacking his family crosses a line. 

"We can disagree on football, but attacking children is beyond what’s acceptable," he said, adding that he will continue to speak out as his critiques aim to improve the state of Indonesian football despite the doxing.
