inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) of the Indonesian National Police successfully arrested 13 terrorist suspects of the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network for the last ten days. The newest arrest happened in East Java.

"Yesterday, we arrested eight terrorist suspects in Lampung province, so we have captured 13. Eight in Lampung and five in East Java", Chief of General Information Agency of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said on Wednesday (10/11/21).

Chief of General Information Agency of Indonesian National Police explained that the 13 terrorist suspects arrested in Lampung and East Java were identified to be involved in JI. Their roles were fund-raisers and personnel relationships.

"Densus 88 keeps preventing and punishing the terrorism criminal offences for maintaining security in Indonesia and keeping it from terrorist threats", the Middle Officer of the PR Agency of Indonesian National Police said.

The eight terrorist suspects arrested in Lampung are S, S, and DRS from October 31 to November 2, 2021. Then another five people, such as S, F, AA, NA, and P, aka Mas PUR, were arrested on November 5-8, 2021.

Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan said that the five terrorist suspects arrested in East Java are BA, AS, AN, RH aka AH, and MA. They were arrested in several different locations in East Java on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
