inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya.  Police have named four teenagers as suspects in a brawl between teenagers on Kalilom Lor III street, Surabaya, which used sharp weapons and Molotov cocktails.

It is known that the four suspects have the initials MFM (19), MIA (18), MRW (14), and AS (16). The brawl involved two groups of teenagers who are members of the All Star gang.

"Two adult suspects were proven to have thrown Molotov cocktails, while the two minors were caught carrying sharp weapons," said the Head of Public Relations of the Tanjung Perak Port Sub-regional Police, First Police Inspector Suroto, as reported by the eranasional on Tuesday (9/16/2025).

Previously, the brawl between groups of teenagers occurred and was recorded by the civilians using cellphones on Monday night, September 8, 2025. In the recording, groups of teenagers attacked each other using sickles and threw Molotov cocktails.

Following up on the recording, the Violence Crimes Unit of the Tanjung Perak Port Sub-regional Police conducted an investigation. As a result, MRW and AS were successfully arrested at their respective homes with evidence of a sickle. The police then hunted down two other suspects, MFM and MIA, who were proven to have thrown a Molotov cocktail at the scene.

"We also found broken Molotov bottles at the location as evidence. This case is still being developed to trace the possibility of other perpetrators," he explained.

In being held responsible for their actions, the four suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) of Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951, as well as Article 187 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, and other articles related to the crime of arson.
