Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Garuda Indonesia announced it will reduce domestic airfare prices from 19 December 2024 to 3 January 2025 to accommodate increased demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan explained that the price cuts follow President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to provide more affordable air travel options for Indonesians. 

“We are committed to meeting the public’s need for cost-effective air travel during the holiday season. Coordination with stakeholders is ongoing to ensure a seamless implementation of this policy,” he said on Friday (29/11/2024).

The initiative is expected to reduce ticket prices by up to 10%, achieved by adjusting key pricing components such as fuel surcharges, airport service fees, and aviation fuel costs at certain airports.

This policy is aimed not only at easing travel expenses but also at stimulating the tourism and creative sectors during the peak season.
