Gender Equality in Indonesian National Police Chief

inp.polri.go.id – The National Police Chief, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, stated that the door is always open for the policewomen to occupy strategic positions, such as the Regional Police Chief to the Main Officials of the National Police Headquarters, Thursday (9/8). This was stated by the National Police Chief when presenting the progress of Policewomen of this year. General Listyo Sigit stated that there were 250 policewomen who occupied strategic positions in the institutions, and those number increased in 2022 where there are 308 policewomen occupy strategic positions. “Right now, there are three inspector generals policewomen and two policewomen who occupy the positions of our institutions abroad. We want to continue this development, and opens the door for our policewomen,” stressed the National Police Chief. On that occasion, the National Police Chief have also asked the HR bureau of National Police to help prepare and scout the best policewomen in the country to fill the strategic positions in the institutions. On the other hand, the Four-Star General also stated that those opportunity given to the policewomen must also be paid with their full dedication to the institution.
