Gorontalo Police Holds Prayer for Fallen Officer in Papua

The Gorontalo Regional Police conducted a prayer session in honor of a Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) member who lost his life during a gunfire exchange with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. Commander of Operations for Gorontalo Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Tony EP Sinambela, said Sunday (21/1/2024) that the prayer was an expression of solidarity and concern from the entire Gorontalo Police towards the fallen Brimob member, antaranews.com reported. "The loss of one Brimob personnel is a profound sorrow for the Indonesian National Police (INP), particularly the Brimob Unit," he said. In addition to showcasing solidarity, Commander Tony explained that the prayer also served as a tribute to the Brimob personnel who sacrificed his live in fulfilling his duties to safeguard the Republic of Indonesia . The dedication and service of the INP  in maintaining the security of Indonesia have long been inherent responsibilities for every personnel, he added, deserving the utmost appreciation. Commander Tony highlighted that this show of solidarity was not without reason but has become an ingrained obligation for every INP personnel. It served the essential purpose of providing moral support to the families left behind. He expressed hope that other personnel currently on duty to maintain peace in Papua would be granted strength, safety, and divine protection. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
