inp.polri.go.id - Tanjung. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology through the Language Development and Fostering Agency, disbursed assistance of IDR 50 million to the Tabalong Heritage Association in developing literacy.
Executive Director of the Tabalong Heritage Association, Firman Yusi, said the assistance was allocated for social media classes, Literacy Jambore, and provisions for books to support community activities.
"In South Kalimantan, only 8 communities received this assistance, which includes the Heritage Association," he explained on Sunday (10/27/2024).
The Tabalong Heritage Association, which is now 14 years old, continues to exist as a forum for literacy development in "Bumi Saraba Kawa'" by establishing partnerships with third parties, both local government and private.
He added that the shared ideal of building an inclusive and empowered literacy community in Tabalong requires support from related parties.
One of them is by collaborating with the Tabalong Regency Library and Archives Service to provide insight for literacy activists, how to build a sustainable and inclusion-based literacy community.
