inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Center for Human Resource Development for Electricity, New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (PPSDM KEBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources helps improve competency in the field of solar energy by providing training to delegates from four countries in Africa.
Coordinator of the PPSDM KEBTKE Program, Cooperation, and Evaluation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hertiyo Sembodo, said that this training not only focuses on theoretical aspects, but also provides opportunities for participants to conduct field visits to the Cirata Solar Power Plant (PLTS), West Bandung Regency and PT Surya Energi Indotama (PT SEI) in Bandung City.
"We want to make a positive contribution to countries in Africa to realize the energy transition in the world, especially in Africa," he explained on Sunday (10/27/2024).
The four African countries that participated in the training in the field of solar energy were Namibia, Senegal, Tanzania, and Mozambique with a total of 13 delegates, and two teachers from Turkey.
This training took place on October 21-26 2024 with a learning concept in the renewable energy sector, especially solar panels or solar photovoltaics (SPV).
He further explained that this training was held as a follow-up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali in 2022.
He said that in the MoU, the two countries agreed to accelerate and ensure a sustainable, fair, affordable energy transition and inclusive investment.
Hertiyo Sembodo, hopes that the training from these delegates can improve competence in the field of solar energy and encourage further cooperation between Indonesia and African countries in the development of renewable energy.
