inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that starting in 2026, disease prevention and treatment following the Free Health Check (CKG) will be free for approximately 280 million Indonesians within the first 15 days of the screening.
"The first 15 days are free for all Indonesians, but after that, it will be free for all BPJS Kesehatan members," said the Minister of Health on Friday (1/23/2026).
He explained that in 2026, the CKG will not only focus on free screening but also on follow-up. In addition to increasing the coverage target to around 136 million people, his ministry will strive to ensure people are healthy.
Therefore, he said, those who are not yet or have inactive BPJS Kesehatan membership need to activate it immediately. The Minister of Health stated that the monthly fee is much less than the money spent on cigarettes.
"But again, the goal is not the health check. It's not the screening. The goal, again, is that our society must be healthy," said the Minister of Health.
On the same occasion, the Director General of Disease Control at the Ministry of Health, Murti Utami, stated that preventive and treatment medications are free from community health centers, regardless of whether the patient is registered.
"They must still receive treatment for 15 days. Participants or patients can then choose. They can return to the registered community health center the following month or on the 16th day, or they can transfer their medication to the registered community health center," she explained.
She added that transferring membership to a primary health facility (FKTP) is also easy using Mobile JKN.
Director General of Primary and Community Health, Maria Endang Sumiwi, added that several conditions prioritized for treatment and prevention in this initiative include hypertension and diabetes.
"We often call them the mother of all diseases. So, they are the mothers of diseases that can become serious illnesses, so specifically for hypertension and diabetes, medication will be provided directly to patients, even if they are not BPJS members or participants," she explained.
