Inp.polri.go.id - Purwakarta. Severe congestion hit the Cipularang Toll Road from Bandung to Jakarta on Saturday evening, coinciding with the school holiday season and weekend travel surge.

The traffic was dominated by private vehicles, with many families traveling for the school break, as reported by antaranews.com on Sunday (6/7/2025).

Traffic congestion was also exacerbated by long queues at several rest areas, especially at KM 97, where cars lined up for more than 2 kilometers just to enter. The queue spilled onto the main toll lanes, worsening the bottleneck.

A similar jam occurred near rest area KM 88 as many vehicles tried to enter the stopover point.

In addition, road maintenance work near KM 86, which reduced lane capacity, contributed further to the traffic buildup.
