Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. As of 6 am on Monday (7/7/2025), the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that 109 neighborhood units, locally known as rukun tetangga or RTs, across West, East, Central, and South Jakarta remain flooded following heavy rainfall and river overflows.
“Flooding has been recorded in 109 RTs and three road sections,” said BPBD Jakarta Chief Isnawa Adji, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Flooding began in the early hours of Sunday and continued through Monday in several areas due to prolonged high-intensity rain and the overflow of multiple rivers across the capital.
According to BPBD, the rainfall over Jakarta and surrounding areas has caused critical increases in river water levels. On Saturday , several floodgates were placed on Alert Level 3 , or waspada, including Katulampa Dam, Depok Water Gate and multiple water monitoring stations across Jakarta
The increased water volume has led to river overflows in many neighborhoods, contributing to the widespread inundation.
One of the most notable incidents occurred in Jati Padang, Pasar Minggu, where floodwaters breached a mosque wall, prompting safety concerns for local residents.
