Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The House of Representatives (DPR) Legislative Body (Baleg) Chair Bob Hasan rejected allegations that the proposed bill on the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) was initiated for political reasons.

“There’s nothing political here. BPIP consists of statesmen. When the agency was formed, it was never about certain political agendas,” he said on Wednesday (16/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Bog emphasized that the bill is part of the 2025 Priority National Legislation Program and aims to strengthen Pancasila ideology at all levels of governance. He added that the bill intends to rebuild BPIP’s structure and distinguish it clearly from the previously scrapped Pancasila Ideology Guidelines (HIP) Bill.

“This is a full restructuring. It’s not about accommodating any political party,” Bob asserted.

He said the law would replace the current Presidential Regulation and is open for public feedback.
