Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia fully supported the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling obligating Israel to facilitate the entry of United Nations humanitarian assistance, including aid from UNRWA, into Palestinian territories.
“Indonesia welcomes the ICJ’s legal opinion on Israel’s obligations toward the presence and humanitarian activities of the UN, other international organizations, and third-party states in the Occupied Palestinian Territories,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement posted on X, Saturday (25/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Ministry emphasized that the ruling aligns with Indonesia’s long-standing stance that Israel, as an occupying power, must uphold its humanitarian responsibilities under international law, including ensuring the welfare of civilians and preventing famine in Gaza and other occupied areas.
Indonesia also called on the UN and the international community to act collectively in enforcing the ICJ’s ruling to guarantee the safe delivery of aid and to support Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
