Inp.polri.go.id - Davos. President Prabowo Subianto joined U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday (22/1/2026) to sign the charter of the Board of Peace for Gaza during the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF).
The signing ceremony at the Congress Hall officially established the Board as an international organization tasked with overseeing the transition and mobilization of resources for the Palestinian people.
President Trump, who initiated the Board following UN Security Council Resolution 2803, was flanked by President Prabowo and Hungarian PM Viktor Orban during the formal proceedings.
Indonesia joins a coalition of nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and the UAE, to serve as a "temporary authority" in Gaza. By joining the Board, Indonesia aims to champion humanitarian access, the protection of civilians, and the restoration of legitimate Palestinian governance, ensuring that international aid effectively reaches those in need while maintaining its principled stance on Middle East peace.
