Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration has deported a Chinese man and fugitive wanted by the Chinese government, for his alleged involvement in a fraud case valued at 12.7 million yuan (approximately pR 28.5 billion or US$1.75 million).
Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman announced on Sunday (13/7/2025) that the fugitive, identified as XP, was deported on Saturday via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on a flight to Guangzhou, China.
He had been convicted in absentia by the Guangzhou People’s Procuratorate in January 2015 and had been hiding in Bali, where he was arrested in Tabanan on 10 July 2025 following a cyber patrol by Immigration’s Investigation Sub-directorate. Authorities confirmed that he lacked a valid residence permit.
“This deportation was conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, prioritizing humanitarian considerations and international cooperation principles,” Yuldi emphasized.
He added that the Directorate maintains strong communication and collaboration with international counterparts, particularly in data-sharing on foreign nationals, to prevent Indonesia from becoming a safe haven for fugitives.
