Inp.polri.go.id - Bangkok. Indonesia strengthened its grip on second place in the SEA Games 2025 medal standings on Wednesday (17/12/2025), widening the gap over Vietnam during the multi-sport event in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Indonesian contingent collected a total of 72 gold medals, eight more than Vietnam, following strong performances across several disciplines.
In total, Indonesia has won 72 gold, 85 silver, and 94 bronze medals, while Vietnam trails in third with 64 gold medals. Host nation Thailand continues to dominate the table with 186 gold medals, making them virtually uncatchable. Singapore sits fourth, followed by Malaysia and the Philippines.
The SEA Games, held from 9 to 20 December 2025, involve athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations competing for regional sporting supremacy, with daily medal shifts closely watched across the region.
